“Mukhi” means “face” or natural cleft on the bead. Each Rudraksha has a different number of lines, ranging from 1 to 21, and each has its own ruling deity and planet:

Yes. Traditionally, Rudraksha beads are purified with water, milk, and energized with mantras before wearing. At Manka, all Rudrakshas are blessed before shipping. You can also energize them at home by chanting “Om Namah Shivaya” 108 times and wearing it with devotion.

Wear Rudraksha beads so they touch your skin for maximum benefit.

They can be worn as a mala (necklace), bracelet, or even kept in a pocket or altar.

Wear them on Monday morning after a bath, with clean clothes and a positive intention.

You may wear Rudraksha at all times, but it is recommended to remove them while bathing (to avoid soap/chemical damage) and while sleeping (to prevent breakage).

If you eat non-veg or drink alcohol, remove the beads during that time and wear them later after cleansing.

Wash them occasionally with clean water and dry them naturally.

Apply pure ghee, coconut oil, or sandalwood oil once a month to keep them nourished.

Avoid exposing them to soaps, perfumes, or chemicals.

When not wearing, keep them in a clean, sacred place.
